The Kids

Hi everyone ~

We are just travelin' along, eager to experience the unknown and what the universe has in store for us.  The kids have been doing well.  They are finding interests they didn't know about before and they are finding talents they didn't know they had an one of them is photography.  Lakyn has found an interest in reading, which is interesting because she hated books when she was in school.  I guess we come to like things when we're not forced to do them.

Here's some photography the kids have done so far....

Here's some pics of them....

This is the famous donkey that bit Lakyn...

It's amazing how close we're becoming.  We are understanding each other and learning about each other.      I think it's the greatest gift, this opportunity has been a blessing in disguise.

Change of Plan

 Hi Everyone ~

We are currently in Salinas, CA.  We stopped at this really cool beach with elephant seals.

They were sleepy...

and yawning alot.

We stayed the night in Plaskett Campground.  It was really pretty and there were Blue Jays everywhere.

Aaron caught this pic

Macks loved it in the trees.

I have to say Big Sur was not RV friendly.  We pretty much just drove through it and made little stops on turnouts along the way.  We did get some great pictures though!!

This beach was called Sand Dollar Beach but it was full of river rock!!

This was right above the beach

This was a little waterfall

My fave flower

Lakyn took this of a washed up Jellyfish on a beach in Carmel

This brings us to Salinas and into the start of the Mercury Retrograde.  I believe this retrograde is having a positive effect on us being the start of the new moon as well.  My dad visited with a message and we got it loud and clear.  The universe has changed our direction from North to Southeast.  We are now headed to Taos, New Mexico.  We will be going through Yosemite and Colorado to get there.  Scott is going to be building Earthships there.  We are a little disappointed about not seeing things that we planned but we are excited about our new path.  That's the way the universe works and we love where it takes us, into the unknown!  Happiness is not a destination, it's the journey.

Lots of Places and Smilin' Faces

Hi everyone ~

Now if I can remember everywhere we've been....

We left off when we were in Oxnard, that night we stayed in a cool spot right on the ocean.  Seacliff Beach.

The View from our front door

Lakyn was inspected by a local seal.  He poked his head above the water and just watched her.

Aaron mastered the rocks

Max didn't think he liked the ocean

Until he met some friends

Then he wanted to go out and play

The sunset sure was pretty

The water came almost to the top of these rocks at night and I watched it through our window with all the lights off.  It was kinda scary and all I kept thinking about was an earthquake out there causing a huge tidal wave and dying in the ocean.  hahahaha!   Did I ever mention I have a fear of the ocean??  Not sure how I will do when it comes to getting on a little boat to go whale watching, which is something we want to do.  hmmmm.

From there we left to find a place to stay in some mountains called Los Padre National Forest.  We found ourselves driving through Teletubby Land.

It sure was pretty!!!

We found a cool little place and stayed there for a couple days for Easter.  We colored eggs and had an egg hunt for the kids in the morning.  I wish we could have stayed there a little longer, it was very peaceful.

Our other kitty Keredwel liked it too

Here's the kids on their egghunt...

Here we are on the egghunt the kids set up for us.
hahahahahaha!!  I think I found one.

From there we went to Pismo Beach.  We were going to camp right on the beach but it was rainy that day and we were sure to get stuck in the softer sand so we ended up leaving.

It was really cool though.

The next stop was San Luis Obispo, the towns run together so easily here, I never really know exactly where we are.  I'm pretty sure this is Morro Bay...

Then we found a really cool little cove that appeared before us as we turned a corner looking for a campsite called Spooners Cove!!!  I was in a bad mood that morning and it vanished as soon as we set foot on this gravelly beach!  I loved it and none of us wanted to leave.

I got splashed by a wave like this one while walking out on the rocks haha, It was fun.

I have to say that this time with the family is well worth it.  Especially at this age.  I think about the time when we had our house and cars and jobs that we worked all day (away from those we loved) just for the money and can't believe that we would actually choose that over time and experience with our family.  Who says that's what life is about?  It's not about getting things and then selling your soul in order to keep it all.  To us anyway.  It's about love and sharing and experiencing things we want to experience.  It's about manifesting things in our lives that are good and peaceful and spiritual.  We only think we need suffering and pain to grow... this is not the case if you don't accept that.  We can grow through meditation, contemplation and most of all experience!!

"Civilization has not much to brag about.  It drives its victims in flocks, repressing the growth of individuality."  ~John Muir

The mind is the architect of your existence.  When Ghandi says to BE the change you wish to see in this world it means that we must first transform ourselves.  Concentrate on your talents, your inner being and know your self.  Transform that first then all other things around you will be transformed also.  Just a little of what I've been thinking...
