Crowd Fever!

Hi everyone ~

Well, we made it to Disneyland and I have to say it was the worst Disney experience we ever had!!!  Usually Disney employees are outstandingly friendly...  this time they were rude, unhappy and even downright mean!!  If we ever planned to go back I would have written a complaint letter but for now we are just going to let it go and forget it ever happened!  :o)  We did have fun with our friends though, here's some pics....

The next day we went to Venice Beach, more crowds!  It was worse than I remember... maybe I was just in a different state of mind then though.

Scott enjoyed the drums!  That was cool.

Aaron and his friend Brandon said that the skate park was way too crowded.

There were even Mermaids for Marijuana!!

A Treeman!

and COOL motor homes!

But.... after a skater almost beat me up we wanted to leave as soon as possible.  hahahaha.  We went to the beach and the boys had fun playing in the ocean (not Aaron though).  Our friends Jim, Darlene and Brandon left for Vegas (Happy Anniversary!!) and we left after that.

The next day we went to Malibu Beach.  I have to say after running into a mean man on the road it got better.  This beach was actually our favorite part of the weekend.  It was peaceful and relaxing.  There were tide pools with shells and starfish for the kids to explore and there were no crowds.  We parked in a park for free and hiked down a beautiful trail to the beach.

We said farewell to our friends as they drove off back to Vegas and we set off up the coast.  It sure is pretty!!!  I love it.  We stayed the night in a cool canyon by a creek and the next night in Oxnard.  Everyone here has been very friendly and nice.  Right now we're hoping to find a boondocking place to relax in for the week outside of Santa Barbara, with NO Crowds!!!   :o)

I love this lifestyle.  Remembering to BE the change we wish to see in this world and to GO with the FLOW is what we're all about.  I can't wait to experience all of it!

On the Road Again

Hi everyone ~

Slab City was very cool... and HOT!!!  We met some cool people, some odd people and some scary people.  We went and hung out at the live music and took showers in a spring waterfall and hot spring community bath (not me, only Scott HAHA)  Sorry we forgot to take a pic of the shower.  We also donated some books to the cool outdoor library.

We left but we'll be going back eventually.

We headed to Huntington Beach looking forward to some cooler, salty air and we stopped in Rancho Mirage to see Alice in Wonderland.  It was pretty good.  Typical Tim Burton!  Love him, I have to say.

Made it to Huntington...

Lakyn made a beeline into the ocean.

Aaron won't get in.

Scott always gets in with her. :o)

I take the pictures.

From the beach we went up to Downey to visit Scott's mom and dad, who are there fixing up her old childhood house to rent out.  It was a cute little house built in the 40's and all the yards are so pretty!!  I didn't take any pics there though.  Now we are parked in an RV park right next to Disneyland.  We're planning on taking advantage of our volunteering tomorrow and our BEST friends came out to join us and spend the weekend with us!!!  YAY!!!!!  I'm sure there will a lot of picture taking and we'll post as soon as we can.  Sunday we may be heading over to Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier.

I still have to take pics of our cool scooters that we painted in Slab city so I'll be posting those soon too.

From the Desert to Snow to Desert Again!

Hi everyone - Well we've moved...  We finished up our volunteering in Kingman at the animal shelter and we had fun walking and playing with the dogs.  Three of them got adopted while we were there, one was called Bucky (he was our favorite) and we got to take an old one out for his last jaunt outside before he was put to sleep.  Poor Ricky, he was so cute.  We were excited about leaving Kingman though and decided to leave that night.  We were truckin down the highway 10 miles out of town, listenin to tunes by Blind Melon and feeling great when one of our back tires blew!!  We had just passed a truck stop so we turned around and slept there for the night.  Our  Good Sam emergency roadside service sent a guy to fix it within 90 minutes.  Oh well, everything happens for a reason, all is good and everything is fine now.

Here we are leaving Kingman

Here we are coming into Williams

Williams Rv park was great for two nights.  We had hookups, showers, and laundry.  The guy who worked there even showed us a Bald Eagle perched in a favorite hangout. (he was too far away to get a pic of though)  Williams is a cool little town and it even had an indoor skatepark for Aaron.  (Oh, he ended up liking the Kingman skatepark)  We left Williams for Flagstaff and there was even more snow.

Flagstaff was cool.  The historic downtown was even cooler.  We had the most awesome dinner ever at a restaurant called Mountain Oasis.  I definitely recommend it if you're ever there.  It's on Aspen Street.  There was this guy playing the acoustic guitar for background music and the last song he played was Sublimes, "Waiting For My Ruca"!  We loved the version of it and he seemed pleased that we knew the song.  We looked around the shops and then headed to Camp Verde to visit Montezuma's Castle,  the ruins of a cliff dwelling tribe.  I got dizzy at the site which usually happens in power spots.  This place is not known for power spots though but maybe it's just not documented as it is in Sedona.  Power was definitely coursing through the air.

We then made our way over to Sedona and found a skatepark there too.  Aaron loved it.  I think he should make his own blog about all the skateparks he visits.  We went on a hike at the base of Cathedral Rock.  There is supposed to be a vortex on Cathedral Rock and they say you can feel it the most where the Oak Creek (more like river) is closest to the base of the mountain.  I didn't feel the usual tingles or lightheadedness but it sure was pretty and we had a great time.  When we left there though we had an unusual feeling of peace and we were extremely relaxed.  There was definitely power there!!  They say it supposed to enhance the feminine energy so this is probably why the energy was more subtle, it must be the masculine energy that makes me dizzy.  Here's some cool pics.

We are now in Camp Verde at an RV park resting, doing laundry and taking showers.  We are catching up with internet stuff and we printed out our vouchers for Disneyland.  We are going to Slab City next and we'll probably be there for a couple weeks.  I really wish we could live this way for the rest of our lives.  I like the Gypsy Life.  It doesn't get any better than this!!
